Students from 20 schools to identify community needs

JOSEPH, Mo. - The second circuit of emPowerU's Civic Engagement Immersions will begin next week. Students will be tasked with identifying challenges in their community, creating a practical plan of action, and then presenting it to a committee of follow students. Director of Program Operations for Mosaic Life Care Devran Brower told KXCV/KRNW that while the second circuit is more challenging, students in the program are extremely capable and attuned to the needs of their community.

Brower says once students have finished this circuit they could be eligible for up to $10,000 to realize the work they've done and improve their community. The program begins next Monday with students from around 20 schools participating.
